If we take lightsecond as a unit of distance, the lightspeed c is exactly equal to 1. Thus E=mc² looks E=m. This is better than the original because it explicitly expresses mass is energy.

【講義の補足】もし我々が距離の単位に「光秒」を使っていたら，光速cは1であるから， E=mc²は E=m のように書き換えられる．このほうがエネルギ（エナジ）と質量の関係を一発で言い当てていて好ましい．
